PRELIMINARY INQUIRY IN CAMEROON
A Scrutiny of the Resuscitated Examining Magistrate by Chimontoh Z. Akomandoh

The book, which is scientific in nature, is well-researched with an exhaustive bibliography on the subject, consisting of articles, books, and journals from both academic and professional authors. The author exhibits a satisfactory disposition in legal research, regularly wrestling with authors on controversial issues, and, like the Judge he is, emphatically but modestly taking his stand. This interaction with the work of authors in the same domain, coupled with the legal arguments, makes for good reading.
This work which I enthusiastically endorse, will go a long way to ameliorate practice in conducting Preliminary Inquiries around the country, most especially within the English-speaking North West and South West Regions. It is resourceful to both professionals, academicians, and researchers.
